William Howard Taft (September 15, 1857 – March 8, 1930) was an American politician, the twenty-seventh President of the United States, the tenth Chief Justice of the United States, a leader of the progressive conservative wing of the Republican Party in the early 20th century, a pioneer in international arbitration and the first member of the Ultimate Central Forums.

It is believed that while the Internet would not appear for over fifty years after this paunchy president's death, and furthermore that Ultimate Central would not exist for another twenty years, the very ideals this man stood for, such as delicious foods and tremendous bathtubs, represent the core of what Ultimate Central is and does in the world.

President William Howard Taft literally blasted taft. Think about it. It's the Truth.

jtg3885 was the sort of guy who always wanted to piss everybody off. It's not that he never had anything valuable to say, or that he was an idiot, he just refused to stop poking people in their sore spots. He was warned and given tempbans repeatedly over the time he spent on the forums, usually for saying just the wrong thing at the wrong time.

One of the best things that should be remembered about jtg was that he brought the lovely miss Skotti-Chan and her art to Ultimate Central. Even after his forced departure, Skotti is an active, and well-liked member of the forums.

He would be banned for getting into an all-out internet brawl with Doc Comic. Even though his intentions were good, he was protecting Skotti after an unfair attack by DC, jtg pushed the limits by bringing the battle to near-stalker proportions. It was decided that while his injustices warrented a temporary ban, a permanent ban was inacted because of how many times he had been temp-banned in the past.

Bluebeast

Bluebeast, is a member of the Ultimate Central. He is a member best known for his participation in the Dreamcasting rounds and brilliant but short-lived Fanfics.

Enter the Beast

Initially reading Brian Michael Bendis' New Avengers and Brian K. Vaughn's Ultimate X-Men, Bluebeast entered the UC community in 2005 wanting to get information on the rest of the Ultimate Universe. Joining during the Golden Age of the Ultimate comics, Bluebeast would sit back for about a year posting erratically and not getting most of the in-jokes but still witness to Ice's subnic. Realizing that he wished to participate more in the UC Bluebeast went into a flurry of posts and became a prominent member of the Ultimate Central. Earning the respect of some members and the emnity of others Bluebeast has since been pondering if he wants to completely break free and reach the 10,000 post zenith that even Mole has obtained.

Relationship With the UC

Through posts mainly in the Dreamcasting forum Bluebeast has earned the respect of some members and the emnity of others.

Victor Von Doom
As one of the most prominent members of the Dreamcasting competition Doom is one of only three posters that Bluebeast considers a worthy Dreamcasting opponent. Doom has earned eternal respect from Bluebeast for his mutual respect of John Mayer music and the fact that he's black. Both of which are cool.

Ourchair
The second most prominent opponent for Bluebeast's crown as Dreamcasting king.

Dr.Strangefate
The third Dreamcasting opponent after Bluebeast's title. DSF is so highly regarded that Bluebeast even created one of his coveted Dreamcasting rounds (Teen Titans) for him.

SSJMole
Initially meeting as rivals in their debut at Ultimate Central, Bluebeast and Mole clashed on such topics as Spider-Man 3 and Fantastic Four 2, both of which are topics they agree on. But after the addition of the member Mavericker both Bluebeast and Mole joined forces in order to combat his radical theories and ideas. After a year of piece both Mole and Bluebeast remain allies. The departure of Mole from the UC has left a small void in Bluebeast's posting style.

Dreamcasting
Entering the Dreamcasting Game in the 3rd round with Watchmen, Bluebeast has since been a prominent competitor in the Dreamcasting Competition. He has been one of the winningnest players and is known mostly for the high profile rounds created after his wins.

Contributions to UC

Mavericker Saga
Initially joining the UC and spouting religious antics and some nonsense about Street Fighting Cats Mavericker cut a swath through the UC and led a religious charge against everyone. With the help of Mole and the Mods though the Mavericker situation was solved and UC returned to religious ambiguity.

Skrull Invation
At the highpoint of Skrull paranoia the UC went into a panic as to who was a Skrull. Though the victory was attributed to Brian Michael Bendis it was Bluebeast and his advance Kree infiltration squad who planted the idea in Bendis' head. Now it is up to the Kree to take over.

DARKKNIGHT
One of Bluebeast's actual contributions to the UC was the introduction of DARKKNIGHT to the forum. DARKKNIGHT actually has potential as a poster which is rare. You could even see Bluebeast and DARKKNIGHT as the Bizarro version of DSF and Shade.

Several months after joining Ultimate Central, the member known as Langsta became determined to create something that would survive for eons and give him a spot among the most beloved members of this forum. To do so, he decided to create a mascot, something that would move us, and make us one with the very ideas we al strive to live. The beast was named Erythor, and it was suggested that it was the primal form of the member Bass. It's picture and explanation have been represented here:

Story: Erythor is an immense, godlike, reptilian being who devours planets. His true name is impossible to pronounce using human vocal chords (if a human being even began to attempt to pronounce his name, their vocal chords would rupture and their body would subsequently implode; if a human being even began to think about thinking about attempting to comprehend his size, their brain would have several orgasms and explode inside their head). Before visiting, conquering, and finally devouring a planet, he sends a herald to the planet to see if it is suitable for Erythor's tastes. In his true form, he is savage and reptilian in appearance. To spirits who are untrue to themselves, he appears as a friendly, catlike being.

Powers/Abilities: Omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, whatever. A red kanji will appear on his belly when excited, sad, angry, etc., the kanji fitting his mood at the time, and sometimes appearing as a "good luck" kanji.

Occupation: Nexus of All Realities, gangstafied pimpologist, vagabond, unofficial UC mascot

Name Etymology: The name "Erythor" is derived from an acid found among the ingredients of an average can of Mountain Dew, erythorbate. Seriously, I couldn't think of any names, so I looked at the ingredients of a Mountain Dew can. "Nacogdoche" comes from Nacogdoches, TX. "Ehcodgocan" is "Nacogdoche" backwards. Ondes Martenot is some kind of classical song that has to do with Turanga-lila, which served as the basis for the name of the Futurama character Turanga Leela, whose name was also influenced by that of Milla Jovovich's character Leeloo in the 1995 movie The Fifth Element. Hoosier Twang is some kind of dialect. Baba Ghanoush is some kind of Middle Eastern dish. John Wayne Gorcey is derived from John Wayne Gacy and is in no way shape or form intended to represent the serial killer in any way shape or form. Eggs Benedict is a dish. Arash Ghaffarzadeh is an Arabic slang term for poop. Lobster Bisque is a soup. The Darjeeling Limited is an upcoming 2007 movie starring Owen Wilson and Adrian Brody as two of three brothers going to India on a spiritual journey. Sisquo is a rap / hip hop artist famous for the infamous "Thong Song."

Langsta also created a little buddy for the creature Erythor, known as Groucho. He was described: "Groucho, one of the heralds of Erythor. He appears gremlin-like, looking similar to the gremlin from the Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." He is actually reptilian. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle!"

SSJMole then countered these outrageous claims by reminding the board of its long-respected true Mascot, Former President of the United States of America, William Howard Taft. Having decided to calm the fires of the impending battle, Dr.Strangefate's imaginary friend, Shade, offered a compromise that met to much acclaim.

The Great Compromise

Langsta refused the compromise and remained steadfast in his belief in the creature Erythor, and its worship.

This thread is also notable for Bass' first public admission that he is capable of leaving our universe at any moment he wishes.

thee great one, also known as TGO and TOG, is a member of Ultimate Central who makes a majority of his posts in blue-colored type. According to legend, the blue color is the blood of banned n00bs. This blue color has also led to many members mistaking him for a woman.

Although TGO is the correct acronym for 'thee great one', the nickname TOG comes from his first appearance in the Law & Order: UC Fanfic, written by Ultimate Houde, which lampooned his spelling ability by depicting a character who spells many words improperly, including his own name.

TOG joined Ultimate Central in Jan 2005. He has also done the UC Awards for the last two years, which is ironic since he joined because of those awards. In 2008, TOG earned the award of UC's Greatest Member. To win the award, TOG beat off (?)"famous" posters such as Moonmaster, Victor Von Doom, and Bass. He defeated Random in the final.

TOG is also the greatest person you will ever meet. Part of the MSN Trinity with Ice and ProjectX2. The next mod.

TOG and Blasting Taft go hand in hand.

Dr.Strangefate will almost certainly set you on fire.

Joining the fall after Ultimate Central went active in 2004, he would post only every so often, usually predicting future scenarios in ongoing comic titles. He quickly established himself as the first openly gay member of the forums, starting a thread in which curious parties could ask him questions about his sexuality. This thread soon vanished from the face of the internet, but would cement his position as a prominent member of the forum.

This mundane day-to-day posting bored Strangefate, and he spent the next two years demanding he be made a moderator, simply to suit his desire for power. Upon achieving his goal, he rid the forum of the parasite known as Mavericker, and went on a month-long power trip, infracting at random, and freely editing posts of anyone who would dare cross him.

He is the only Moderator to have ever been infracted. He was also first to define the term “Blasting Taft”, after seeing the two words together in a post by E, and decided they sounded like an euphemism for masturbation.

He is often referred to as “The Good Doctor,” a title bestowed on him by TheManWithoutFear. At one point, the dastardly Doc Comic made a move to claim the title, but was subsequently set aflame and left in a ditch to burn and die. He has considered Doc Comic his nemesis ever since this action, and publicly lobbied for his permanent ban after the Battle with JTG.

Dr. Strangefate was the second Editor-In-Chief of Ultimate Central: The Fanfic, after stealing the position from the long lost member Nurhachi during the nine-month absence of Bass. He recently ceded the position to new Co-Editors, Random and Ultimate Houde. His run is notable having begun with massive delays, and ended similarly. He also took over the running of the Ultimate Central Greatest Member Contests from Nurhachi.

His best friend is named Shade, and rarely posts on Ultimate Central, but that doesn't Strangefate from mentioning him constantly. He often has to remind people who it is he is talking about.

Wade_Wilson joined UC in November of 2006 and became well known for his sarcastic, intelligent and critical posts. His name was a reference to Deadpool, one of his favorite characters (although he hated the Ultimate version of Deadpool). Wade is best known as the Cabana Boy, but he's also infamous for an incident in which he mocked a handicapped girl he was on a blind date with because she had made disparaging remarks towards comics and comics fans. Wade left UC some time ago due to frustration over the many off-topic conversations and very, very rarely returns for a post or two. Many posters remember him as two-dimensional and violent, although Wade is and was a complicated guy.

the watcher

the watcher is a member of Ultimate Central most famous for authoring The Best Day Ever, a thread in which he claimed to have saved Kristin Kreuk from an oncoming truck.

the watcher frequently contributes to the site in the form of movie news. Although many of these posts are of a substantial nature, many of them have also been trivial. At one point, he was frequently derided for posting production stills of movies in development because many of them featured unremarkable shots of sets being prepped, and as such largely devoid of any interesting content.

the watcher defended his posts by stating that he doesn't choose the pictures that get leaked by production spies, whereupon he was instructed to simply limit his posts to display only substantial photographs and hyperlink the rest. He has since corrected this habit.

Watcher was banned from the site after deleting all of his posts in the Best Day Ever thread. E responded by saying
"Watcher, you are a total loser. I mean, this is like the loseriest thing you could do. You are a big fat loaf of fail, and we all mock your existence."

Gothamite

Gothamite is the best friend Planet-man never had. Well, okay, he had him for a few years but they sort of went their seperate ways in high school and one of them got really into drugs and stuff (And I know you know which one I'm talking about...) .... anyway, Gothamite was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and is really into Batman and Superman, not always in that order. He is one of the few members of UC sane enough to understand that a Batman who wears a blue and gray outfit is totally lame(the DCAU Bats is the exception, but come on, he'd never wear that in real life).

Gothamite is a fairly new and somewhat infrequent poster who tends to show up after days or weeks with no word and post dozens of times in as many threads, with expressions of opinion ranging from vast, detailed and profound to downright embarrassing. On that note, he is quite fond of "guilty pleasures", even creating a whole thread devoted to their celebration. His other most successful thread is devoted to Star Trek, another passion of his.

The Big G is a born and bred Irishman and proud. He is known for getting quite testy when people make ignorant castaway comments about him living in the 'UK' when Ireland has been an independent Republic for nearly eighty years. He also has a particular disdain for 'Plastic Paddies', or people who have Irish Ancestry and who think they're Irish as a result, even though they were born in a different country. Gothamite knows that being Irish is a state of mind that can only be achieved by drinking 18 gallons of Guinness and eating one's own weight in Irish Stew.

Ultimate Central: The Cartoon

Animation

In 2006, Ultimate Central decided to produce a cartoon based on its members and experiences. The animation was written by Ultimate Houde and animated by Mike Weiss under the Random Films company.

The first cartoon debuted on the interwebs on June 8th, 2007. It was over 30 minutes in length and was regarded as a high success. The animation followed the story of a large group of comic geeks attending a convention in Philadelphia.

Since the success of the initial cartoon, Random Films has also created several shorts based on fan fiction written for the site. A DVD of the cartoons is reportedly in the works, though production has hit numerous technical difficulties(Baxter). On March 15th, 2008 the script for the sequel, written by Ultimate Houde with story help from Baxter, Random, ProjectX2, Dr.Strangefate and Ice, was officially finished and production on this much anticipated cartoon started.

It's the squirrels...

It's the squirrels... was a thread created by Nurhachi to warn members of UC about the rising threat of the squirrels. It was rather pointless, but entertained many for hundreds of posts. During this time, many members were outed as squirrels, but chose to ignore Nurhachi and his insane ramblings.

Bees. My God. stems from this actual panel in the Amazon Attacks miniseries from DC Comics, in which Batman seems like he is frightened by a ridiculous weapon that involves bees. The ludicrous statement has become a running gag at UC, causing several different pictures and other types of jokes.

Bees are also associated with a YouTube clip show from the modern Wicker Man remake. The clip is meant to showcase the most ridiculous scenes from The Wicker Man. For example, Nicholas Cage, wearing a bear costume, runs up to a random woman and punches her out. The funniest clip is at the end, and has Nicholas Cage screaming "NOT THE BEES! NOT THE BEES! OH MY GOD THEY'RE IN MY EYES! MY EYES AAARGLBLARGL" as bees are poured into a reverse beekeeper helmet he's wearing.

Bees. My God. is one of the many inside jokes at Ultimate Central.
